Job summary

CTG seeks an IT Service Management Specialist in New York, NY to monitor job flows via CA Workload Automation DE and support jobs across z/OS mainframe, UNIX, or PeopleSoft servers. The role requires rapid response to failures, documentation, and occasional migration to prod/test environments.

Preferred candidates have strong mainframe/Unix scheduling experience, knowledge of JCL, and familiarity with production control tools. Excellent communication and SDLC understanding are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering or related field with four years IT service management experience.
Experience in production control with mainframe or mid-range systems.
Ability to respond quickly to job failures and coordinate remediation.

Responsibilities

Monitor job flows controlled by the CA Workload Automation DE (dSeries) scheduling system.
Respond quickly to job failures by determining cause and contacting on-call staff.
Occasionally migrate software to production and/or test environments.
Document problems, set up job flow dependencies, and troubleshoot test flows.
