UNIVERSAL Technologies LLC is seeking an experienced Production Control Technician for an onsite position in New York NY reporting to the Night Shift Supervisor. The role monitors job flows and ensures timely execution across z/OS, UNIX and PeopleSoft environments.

It requires extensive scheduling experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication. You will work a rotating 3-day schedule including weekends and holidays on-site in New York.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or related field with four years IT service management or operations experience.
• Eight years of related scheduling experience using a Windows-based scheduling system.
• Extensive Production Control experience in mainframe/mid-range environments.
• Knowledge of z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF; mainframe utilities IDCAMS/File AID.
• Experience with UNIX and PeopleSoft/PeopleTools; enterprise workload scheduling like CA DE dSeries.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills and SDLC understanding.

Responsabilités

• Monitor production job flows controlled by CA Workload Automation DE dSeries.
• Monitor jobs across zOS mainframe, UNIX, and PeopleSoft servers.
• Respond quickly to failed production jobs and determine root cause.
• Coordinate with on-call staff for remediation and resolution.
• Document production problems, failures, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions.
• Migrate software into production and/or test environments when needed.
• Support stability of scheduled workloads across enterprise systems.
