Job summary

ELEVI Associates in Minnesota is seeking a Senior Mainframe Storage Administrator to join our team. You will perform daily mainframe storage operations using z/OS tools to optimize SMS/DASD utilization and ensure HSM/DLM health across both plexes.

Responsibilities include producing SCRT/SMF reports, automating reclaim and housekeeping, coordinating Dell hardware patching, and monitoring PowerMax, DLM, and Data Domain health.

Qualifications

• Performs daily mainframe storage operations using z/OS tools to optimize SMS/DASD utilization.
• Produces required compliance/capacity reporting (SCRT/SMF), verifies reclaim/housekeeping automation, and completes operational work such as disk initialization, tape consolidations, and maintenance of core storage software (DLM, Solutions Enabler, GDDR, TapeCopy, Unisphere).
• Executes DR activation/teardown activities, coordinates Dell hardware patching/upgrades, and monitors PowerMax/DLM/Data Domain health and certificates at both Eagan and San Mateo.

Responsibilities

• Maintain reliability of mainframe storage environments across z/OS and related tooling.
• Coordinate hardware patching and upgrades for Dell hardware.
• Monitor PowerMax, DLM, and Data Domain health and certificates.
