Job summary

BetaNXT in Brookfield, Wisconsin seeks an Infrastructure Support Associate to join our operations team. The role provides entry-level computer operations and infrastructure support within our mainframe environment, working under direct supervision to ensure reliable batch processing and system availability.

You will monitor tasks, assist with troubleshooting, document incidents in REMEDY and ServiceNow, and cooperate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues within SLA objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in technology infrastructure or IT support.
• Foundational knowledge of hardware, software, networking, file transfers, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with IBM Mainframe z/OS operations and related tools (JCL, IPLs, TSO/SDSF/ISPF).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and execute batch processing, file transfers, IPLs, and daily checks across multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications.
• Support mainframe platform operations, including LPAR IPLs, job restarts, JCL overrides, and related operational processes.
• Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, network, system, and application issues, including executing trace routes and other standard troubleshooting steps.
• Monitor system health and performance, complete routine checks, and report irregularities for further investigation.
• Raise, manage, and document incidents in REMEDY and ServiceNow from start through resolution.
• Partner with infrastructure, application, and business teams to advance issues, support timely resolution, and minimize service disruptions within SLA objectives.
• Respond to system requests in a timely and accurate manner, escalating more complex matters as needed.
• Initiate internal Technical Recovery Team calls as needed to support service restoration.
• Generate status reports and maintain clear communication regarding operational activities, incidents, and daily responsibilities.
• Follow established procedures that support risk mitigation, security, compliance, and accurate documentation of infrastructure processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
