Job summary

BetaNXT Inc. in Brookfield, WI seeks an Infrastructure Support Associate to provide entry-level computer operations and mainframe infrastructure support in a 24x7 environment. You will assist with batch processing, LPAR IPLs, file deliveries, troubleshooting, and documentation, under supervision.

This role emphasizes following procedures, accurate documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high system availability and timely incident resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in technology infrastructure or IT support.
• Foundational knowledge of hardware, software, networking, file transfers, monitoring tools, and routine infrastructure support.
• Familiarity with IBM Mainframe z/OS operations, including JCL, job restarts, scheduling tools, TSO/SDSF/ISPF, IPLs, multi-LPAR environments, and HMCs.
• Ability to follow established procedures, document work accurately, communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and elevate issues appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and execute batch processing across platforms and applications.
• Support mainframe platform operations including LPAR IPLs and job restarts.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, system, and application issues.
• Monitor system health, perform routine checks, and report irregularities.
• Raise, manage, and document incidents in REMEDY and ServiceNow from start to resolution.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and business teams to resolve issues within SLAs.
• Respond to system requests promptly and escalate complex matters as needed.
• Initiate internal Technical Recovery Team calls when required.
• Generate status reports and maintain clear communication on daily activities.
• Follow procedures supporting risk mitigation, security, and documentation.
