Job summary

PNC is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to install and support mainframe software across multiple sysplexes, with strong z/OS, DB2, ISPF, and CA tool experience. The role involves technical coaching, on-call duties and cross-team collaboration in a large enterprise environment.

You will work on platform stability, disaster recovery planning and ongoing system improvements, engaging MIS and end users to ensure reliable operations and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, configuring and supporting z/OS platform software.
• DB2 for z/OS or DB2 LUW installation and support experience.
• Familiarity with IBM tooling (Admin Tool, Query Monitor).
• Programming knowledge in REXX, CLIST, SAS, Cobol or ASM.
• Knowledge of CA-7, CA-OPSMVS, ISPF and related mainframe utilities.
• TCP/IP, NDM, port security, VSAM and related tools; MS Office suite.
• Experience with project planning, disaster recovery and business continuity.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test and deploy mainframe software components across sysplexes.
• Provide technical support to MIS and end users; coach junior staff.
• Troubleshoot, resolve issues and participate in on-call duties.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to meet project objectives.
• Analyze customer requirements and provide ongoing client support.
