Innova Solutions is seeking a Mainframe Developer - Production Support for an onsite Philadelphia role. The candidate will oversee end-to-end batch processing, incident management, and root cause analysis to ensure high availability of mainframe applications.

Required are 8+ years in COBOL/DB2/JCL within large-scale production environments, expertise in z/OS and job scheduling (Control-M/CA7/Zeke), and on-call support for critical incidents. W-2 contract, onsite only.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in COBOL, DB2, and JCL within large-scale mainframe production support environments.
• Strong expertise in z/OS, batch processing, job scheduling, and end-to-end production support operations.
• Proven experience in incident management, production troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem resolution to ensure high system availability and stability.

Responsibilities

• Execute, monitor, and troubleshoot batch jobs using JCL, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Provide production support for mainframe applications, including incident resolution and root cause analysis.
• Maintain and enhance COBOL programs to support business requirements and defect fixes.
• Monitor DB2 jobs, resolve data issues, and support batch processing activities.
• Manage job scheduling, restarts, and reruns using tools such as Control-M or CA7.
• Support critical production incidents, including on-call assistance when required.

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Mainframe Developer - Production Support

Position type: Full-Time Contract (W2)

Role: Mainframe Developer - Production Support

Duration: 6 + Months Contract

Location : Philadelphia, PA (Onsite role)

Must have required skills – COBOL, DB2, JCL, batch execution, issue resolution, and Production Support

Primary Skill Required for the Role:

• 8+ years of hands‑on experience in COBOL, DB2, and JCL within large-scale mainframe production support environments.
• Strong expertise in z/OS, batch processing, job scheduling, and end‑to‑end production support operations.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $50 - $55/- per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
