Job summary

CTG is seeking a Mainframe COBOL Developer for a 12-month engagement in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on developing, enhancing, and supporting mainframe COBOL applications with JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS knowledge.

The ideal candidate will translate business requirements into robust solutions, perform testing, debugging, and provide production support while collaborating with analysts, developers, and testers across the project. Strong English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Develop, enhance, maintain, and support mainframe COBOL applications.
• Translate business and technical requirements into effective solution designs.
• Create, modify, and troubleshoot batch and online programs; develop and maintain JCL.
• Work with VSAM and DB2 databases; develop and support CICS transactions.

• Perform unit testing, debugging, and production support activities.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, testers, and other teams to deliver quality solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to changes and processes.
