Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform routine phlebotomy duties following all regulatory standards.
• Verify patient identity, correctly label specimens and ensure specimen integrity.
• As applicable, perform EKGs with proper training.
• Document deviations from standard procedures in the computer system.
• Prioritize stat and routine orders and manage specimen transport.
• Maintain phlebotomy supplies and keep work area neat and organized.
• Demonstrate professionalism and protect patient confidentiality.
