Job summary

International Executive Service Corps is seeking a phlebotomist to perform day-to-day venipuncture duties in accordance with federal, state and local standards. You will ensure correct patient identification, proper labeling, and maintain specimen integrity for accurate test results.

You will prioritize stat and routine orders, maintain phlebotomy supplies, document deviations, and communicate with patients and clinicians with professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required; must meet fleet policy and insurance requirements.
• Ability to provide own transportation while on duty.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Is well organized and uses a systematic approach while courteously receiving patients.
• Consistently obtains proper specimens, verifies identity, and labels correctly.
• Prioritizes collection of stats, urgents, and routine orders; handles nursing home specimens.
• Maintains phlebotomy supplies and keeps a neat work area.
• Documents deviations from standard procedure in the computer system.
