Job summary

International Executive Service Corps is seeking a phlebotomist to perform day-to-day venipuncture duties in compliance with applicable standards. You will receive patients politely, collect specimens, label them accurately, and document any deviations in the computer system.

You will prioritize stat and routine orders, maintain phlebotomy supplies, and ensure a neat work environment while upholding patient confidentiality and professionalism in interactions with patients, physicians, and staff.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to provide own transportation on duty.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Organized, able to prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Understanding age-appropriate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Receive patients courteously and follow systematic processes.
• Obtain proper specimens, verify patient identity, label specimens.
• Document deviations from standard procedures in the system.
• Prioritize collection and delivery of stats, urgents, and routine orders.
• Maintain phlebotomy supplies and ensure neat workstation.
• Monitor lab computer systems and requisitions.
• Maintain professionalism and patient confidentiality.
• Communicate with patients, physicians, and staff to meet needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge for age-specific patient care.
• Be punctual and adhere to attendance policies.
