Job summary

FedEx Office is seeking a Mail Services Specialist to ensure accurate, efficient handling of incoming and outgoing mail and parcels in a corporate setting. You will support equipment, supplies, and fulfillment per customer requirements, while delivering excellent service with consultative skills to anticipate needs and offer solutions.

The role interacts daily with customers, managers, and vendors, working with minimal supervision, five days a week at the Richmond, VA FedEx location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
• 1+ year of customer service or operations experience.
• 1+ year of specialized experience preferred.
• Familiarity with USPS and commercial carrier processes (UPS, FedEx, DHL) preferred.
• Experience with mailroom equipment (e.g., postage meters, envelope openers, barcode scanners) preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
• For new hires, must meet all FedEx Office employment qualifications in force at time of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all mail and shipping related services and activities.
• Pick-up and deliver packages and mail throughout the onsite area.
• Operate and maintain mail processing equipment (mail meter).
• Provide customer service by informing customers of shipping methods, routes, and rates.
• Log receipts and releases using a tracking system.
• Handle fulfillment tasks and assist with furniture or conference room setup.
