Job summary

FedEx Office in Richmond, VA is seeking a Lead Specialist for mail services operations. You will supervise daily mail and parcel handling, coordinate workflows, and ensure timely deliveries while delivering a positive customer experience in a corporate environment.

You will lead the Mail and Parcel Associates, train teammates, monitor performance, and resolve escalated issues, using package tracking software and mailroom equipment to uphold safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of customer service or operations experience.
• 1+ year of lead experience preferred.
• Familiarity with USPS and commercial carrier processes preferred.
• Experience with mailroom equipment preferred.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and mail tracking software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• For new hires, must meet all FedEx Office employment qualifications in force at time of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily mailroom activities including incoming/outgoing mail and parcel handling.
• Coordinate workflows to meet SLAs and prioritize mail services.
• Serve as a point of contact for training and team questions.
• Ensure adherence to client protocols, confidentiality, and procedures.
• Assist stakeholders with performance tracking and inventory control.
• Operate and troubleshoot mailroom equipment and tracking systems.
• Communicate with vendors and client departments regarding deliveries.
• Provide leadership to ensure courteous, professional customer service.
