Job summary

Vomela, a full-service visual communications company, is seeking a Mail Department Operator in Springfield, VA to manage outgoing mail, ensure quality, and document processes.

You'll read job orders, operate mailroom equipment, maintain records, and coordinate with staff. Onsite schedule 1:00-9:00pm; pay range $21-$27.50 per hour. Benefits include health, retirement, life insurance, PTO, disability and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience running mailing inserter machines
• Advantage: administrative experience
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with mail and records
• Familiarity with postal regulations, procedures, and mail sorting technologies
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with staff and vendors

Responsibilities

• Operate processes for outgoing mail from our facility
• Read and understand paper and electronic job orders and process jobs according to specifications
• Be accountable for quality and on-time work
• Run and coordinate work in the operation of all mailroom equipment
• Maintain mail machinery in working order and clear jams

Pay Range

$21 - 27.50 USD/hourly

What You'll Do...

• Operate processes for outgoing mail from our facility
• Read and understand paper and electronic job orders and process jobs according to specifications
• Be accountable for quality, on time work
• Run and coordinate work in the operation of all mailroom equipment
• Maintains mail machinery in working order, clearing jams in equipment and operating computers
• Maintain an accurate record of all mail processed and distributed
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience running mailing inserter machines required
• Proven experience in an administrative role is an advantage
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling mail and records
• Familiarity with postal regulations, procedures, and mail sorting technologies
