Job summary

RRD is hiring for a 2nd shift position in Illinois to operate and maintain mailing/packing equipment, weigh and tie bundles, and review instructions for magazines, catalogs, and similar publications.

The role includes data entry, production documentation, and potential involvement in payroll-related tasks. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and team training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related experience; 3 years preferred
• Knowledge of standard set ups, adjustments, operating characteristics of equipment
• Ability to set up, operate, and perform basic adjustments to equipment
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook and Word
• Preferred data entry and payroll experience
• Previous office experience in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Operate machines that address, weigh, and tie into bundles printed publications for mailing by zip code
• Review manufacturing instructions to determine publication type and size
• Make adjustments to guides, rollers, and inserter using tools
• Record production details by customer name and zip code; log machine downtime
• Process and ship outgoing packages via UPS, Federal Express, DHL
• Perform routine clerical duties on the manufacturing floor per procedures
• May assist with data entry, reporting, and data requests
• Assist with production planning and special projects
• Share expertise and train other employees as assigned
• Carry out other responsibilities as delegated by management
