BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina seeks a mail processing specialist to handle first-class mail, ensuring proper postage and USPS compliance. The role is onsite in Columbia, with a 40-hour work week and a 8:00AM–4:30PM schedule at 3060 Alpine Road, Columbia, SC 29223.

Responsibilities include identifying mail types, applying postage, maintaining equipment, and supporting daily USPS pickups. Candidates need a high school diploma and at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1 year of work experience.
• Coordinates delivery and receiving, coordinates production schedules, maintains mail equipment, manage inventories, and operates mail equipment.

Responsibilities

• Separates mail types by recognizing quality mail, checks, and bills per USPS rules.
• Applies correct postage via meter machines.
• Ensures mail presentation quality.
• Selects mail type for reduced postage.
• Sorts and routes discount and full-rate mail.
• Assists in daily USPS pickup and delivery.
• Uses postal regulations and shape-based pricing to ensure proper postage.
• Monitors and maintains meter equipment and work area.
• Withdraws and tracks meter funds transactions via postage by phone.
