Job summary

CBRE is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a major telecommunications client in Madison, Wisconsin. This onsite role requires leading daily operations, managing budgets, and driving performance across facilities and workplace services.

You will build strong client relationships, supervise teams, oversee vendor performance, and deliver consistent service quality while ensuring safety and compliance. Strong communication and data analysis skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 3–5 years of experience in operations management, facilities management, workplace services, telecommunications, or related field.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams, vendors, and client relationships in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting expenses, and driving operational performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make sound business decisions.
• Experience managing service delivery and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, KPIs, and SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client expectations and CBRE standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with client stakeholders, serving as a trusted partner for operational matters.
• Supervise and develop team members through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Oversee vendor performance to meet SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations.
• Manage operational budgets, expenses, and financial reporting to support profitability.
• Coordinate and prioritize service requests, projects, and initiatives to meet business objectives and client expectations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, safety standards, and client procedures.
• Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support facility operations, maintenance, workplace services, and strategic projects.
• Develop contingency plans and support business continuity efforts to minimize disruptions.
• Provide regular reporting and updates to leadership and client stakeholders.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
