First Shift

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate various CNC machines to produce parts for the mining & locomotive industry in accordance with specifications and safety policies.
• Operate CNC machines including horizontal mills, engine lathes, and manual grinders.
• Use precision gauges and instruments to follow specifications.
• Maintain specifications, troubleshoot, adjust, reprogram controls, and perform quality checks.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Advanced Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain specifications, troubleshoot, and repair machines.
• Train other employees.

Education / Training

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Skill Level II – 1-2 years experience, technical or specific skills preferred.

Qualifications And Experience

Preferred Skills include expertise in advanced machining techniques, certification in NDT, high machining aptitude, blueprint reading, and machine setup skills.

Physical Activities and Environment

• Lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, stand, walk, kneel, climb stairs.
• Exposure to noise, vibration, oils, lubricants, and the need for PPE.
• Work as part of a team, adhere to safety policies.
