Job summary

RENA Technologies North America in Albany, Oregon is seeking a Machinist I to join a dynamic, team-oriented production environment. The role requires performing all standard machinist duties, working with non-standard set-ups, and operating manual lathes and mills while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a 2-year technical degree (or equivalent) and 3+ years of manual machining experience, plus own tools.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree preferred.
• Manual machining: 3 years preferred.
• Have own machinist tools.
• Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.
• Ability to operate safely within guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of a Machinist I.
• Work with non-standard set-ups.
• Operate a manual lathe and mill.
• Apply cutting fundamentals (speeds/feeds, blade selection).
• Verify part accuracy against blueprints using inspection gauges.
• Perform basic quality control measurements.
• Manipulate 3D Solid models in Solidworks.
• Use Mastercam for CAM tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Ability to perform all the duties of a Machinist I.
• Experienced with non-standard set-ups.
• Proficient at operating a manual lathe including but not limited to single point threading and operating a manual mill.
• Must be proficient at the fundamentals of cutting - speeds and feeds, blade selection, etc.
• Verify accuracy of machined parts against blueprints or engineering drawings by measuring with inspection tooling and gauges.
• Ability to perform basic quality control measurements and inspections on machined parts.
• Proficient at Solidworks software with the ability to manipulate 3D solid part files.
• Proficient at Mastercam software.
• All other tasks assigned.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
