This job is for machinists who care about the work and the results. As a Machinist II, you’ll set up and run a range of conventional, special-purpose, and NC machines to produce quality parts that meet print and hold tolerance. You’ll use your hands, your head, and your experience to keep machines running right and parts coming off the way they should.

If you take pride in accuracy, craftsmanship, and leaving your name on a job done right, you’ll fit in here.

What You’ll Do
  • Read and work from blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications, and sample parts to understand dimensions, tolerances, setups, and machining sequence
  • Measure, mark, and scribe materials and work pieces to guide machining
  • Set up machines by selecting and securing fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials
  • Calculate, set, and adjust speeds, feeds, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut
  • Load, retrieve, and edit CNC programs as needed
  • Start machines and keep an eye on them, spotting problems before they turn into scrap
  • Make adjustments when parts are out of tolerance to keep quality on track
  • Inspect finished parts to make sure they meet print and quality requirements
  • Run trial parts to verify machine setup and program accuracy
  • Troubleshoot machining and program issues and make corrections at the machine
  • Verify and adjust common G and M codes to keep machines cutting the way they should
  • Run higher-complexity machines and tools with confidence and care
  • Work with engineers, programmers, and production teammates to solve machining or assembly issues
  • Take part in continuous improvement efforts, including Lean practices, machine PMs, 5S, and Kaizen events
  • Understand how your daily work ties into production goals and area boards
  • Know your tooling and machine limits and work within them
  • Hold yourself and others to high ethical and workmanship standards
  • Handle other duties as needed
What You Bring
  • High School diploma or GED with at least two years of machining experience, or an equivalent mix of education and hands‑on work
  • Proven mastery as a Machinist I, ready to operate at the Machinist II level
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and CNC operation
  • Ability to follow safety rules, work instructions, and procedures without cutting corners
  • Solid math skills, including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and standard units of measure
Work Environment
  • Regular exposure to moving machinery, vibration, and loud noise
  • Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles
  • Occasional exposure to extreme heat (non-weather related)

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

Physical Requirements
  • Regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds
  • Stand, walk, and move around the shop throughout the shift
  • Use hands for handling tools, materials, and machine controls
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to communicate and hear clearly in a manufacturing environment
