Job summary

PACCAR, a global leader in premium trucks and related services, is seeking a Section Manager Machining for the Columbus, MS area. The role drives Lean manufacturing principles, leads the Evening Shift Machining team, and ensures safety, quality, and productivity targets are met across a 4–5 direct-report structure and up to 100 shop floor employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Familiar with PPS, Six Sigma and Lean concepts.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel required).

Responsibilities

• Lead Evening Shift Machining Team including Production and Maintenance associates.
• Collect, analyze and act on safety incidents, quality containments, and production constraints.
• Coordinate with other departments, divisions, suppliers, customers, and contractors as needed.
• Assist in onboarding and training of new hires and teams.
• Drive results through analytics, lean processes and KPI data.
• Plan and complete special assignments within the department and facility.
