Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a Section Manager Machining for the SG 25 level to lead the Evening Shift Machining Team, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and coordinate with maintenance. The role requires supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting and strong knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma concepts.

Candidate will oversee documentation, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration while supporting onboarding and training of new hires, with a competitive benefits package and relocation options

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Supervisory experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Knowledge of PPS, Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to Evening Shift Machining Team including Production and Maintenance associates.
• Performs full range of complex, clerical or specialized administrative tasks, requiring knowledge of the PACCAR organization and policies.
• Collects, processes, analyzes, and reacts quickly to information relating to safety incidents, quality containments, production constraints, and equipment issues, while acting as a resource to support the department manager.
• Participates in documentation processes by obtaining, compiling, maintaining, and issuing necessary records, reports, and data or lists, ensuring accuracy of the content and correct distribution.
• Coordinates with and provides information to other departments, divisions, suppliers, customers, contractors, or applicants as necessary.
• Supports and develops teams including assisting in onboarding and training of new hires
• Drives results through analytics, lean processes, and data-driven metrics and KPIs.
• Plans, researches, organizes, analyzes and completes special assignments within the assigned department and the facility as a whole.
