Job summary

Moog Inc. in Orrville, OH is seeking a Machine Operator I to operate basic machine shop equipment and support manufacturing processes. You will learn Moog operating systems, perform shop math, and help ensure product quality while meeting production schedules.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and at least 1 year in manufacturing. This onsite role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and follow verbal, written, and computer work instructions in English.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic machine shop equipment including lathes, mills, band saws, overhead cranes, and tow motors.
• Acquire basic knowledge of inspection equipment and Moog processes/procedures.
• Train and learn basics of shop math and machine operation.
• Responsible for the quality and quantity of work, through inspection and meeting schedule requirements.
• Recognize abnormal conditions and stop work, then seek help, including troubleshooting.
• Train and learn Moog operating systems and ethics compliance.
