Job Overview
Quality Control Manufacturing Inspector – 1st Shift. Reporting to Manager, QA Control. Work Schedule: Onsite – Orrville, OH.
Responsibilities
- Provide floor support across multiple machining cells.
- Perform first‑piece inspections and verify operator measurements.
- Conduct hands‑on measurement using micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools.
- Ensure CMM machines are clean, calibrated, and running properly (CMM operation training available).
- Assist operators with technical questions, measurement techniques, and inspection guidelines.
- Perform final inspections, including reviewing documentation, sampling measurements, and completing sign‑offs.
- Document and issue non‑conformances using internal quality software.
- Review batch paperwork and routers for accuracy and completeness.
- Support receiving inspection activities.
- Assist with calibration and maintenance of equipment.
- Participate in cross‑functional troubleshooting and problem‑solving.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions.
- Basic arithmetic skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Five years of related quality experience in a machining‑related manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of machining processes and quality systems.
- Accessible to U.S. export‑controlled information.

Salary Range
Orrville, OH: $28.00–$36.00 hourly.
