Job summary

AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Machinery Loss Control Professional to develop and implement loss control programs for the Underwriting division.

You will assess generating facilities, advise on risk reduction, and support insureds with best practices in machinery reliability. The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, 8+ years in machinery loss control in electric power generation, and travel 50–60%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical or mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible machinery loss control experience in electric power generation.
• Knowledge of ASME, IEEE, NFPA standards relevant to machinery breakdown.
• Willingness to travel 50–60% and work with insureds on-site.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• PE license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site loss control services and assessments for insureds.
• Evaluate facilities and suggest risk-reduction measures for loss control programs.
• Assist underwriting with marketing and credibility for machinery loss control expertise.
• Develop loss control products and participate in industry associations.
• Document near-misses and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
