AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Property Loss Control Professional in New Jersey to develop and implement property loss control programs supporting Underwriting, with a focus on mitigating frequency and severity of losses for insureds and AEGIS.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering, 8+ years in risk management or loss control in the power/utility sector, and knowledge of NFPA codes. Travel is heavy and MS Office proficiency is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (fire protection, electrical or mechanical) or loss control.
• 8+ years in risk management or loss control in the power/utilities industry.
• Ability to work independently or lead initiatives through influence.
• Professional certification in fire protection engineering or related power field desired (PE or CFPS a plus).
• Knowledge of property all risk perils and NFPA codes relevant to energy industry.
• Willingness to travel 50–60%.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Aufgaben

• Consult loss control services for insureds, including on-site assessments.
• Evaluate facility operations and suggest risk reduction measures for loss control programs.
• Influence insureds to adopt loss control and risk management in day-to-day operations.
• Contribute to development of AEGIS loss control products and services.
• Participate in industry associations to stay current with technical changes.
• Establish credibility as a Property Loss Control Professional in the power industry.
• Support underwriting by marketing loss control services and assisting account meetings.
• Assist/participate in claims investigations as requested.
• Document near misses for lessons learned and to capture potential avoided losses.
• Support for natural catastrophe modeling and data collection as needed.
