AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Senior Property Loss Control Professional to develop and implement loss control programs for the Underwriting division.

The role involves on-site assessments, risk evaluations, and recommending loss prevention measures for insured facilities. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in engineering and 8+ years in risk management or loss control in the power/utility sector, with PE or CFPS a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or loss control discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in risk management or loss control in power/utility.
• Professional certification in fire protection engineering or related field desired; PE or CFPS a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform, coordinate, and implement loss control services, including on-site assessments.
• Evaluate facility operations and suggest risk reduction measures.
• Influence insureds to adopt loss control and risk management practices.
• Support underwriting by marketing property insurance products and attending meetings.
• Assist in claims investigations and document near-misses for lessons learned.
