Job summary

AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Loss Control Account Professional to provide risk information to Property Underwriters. You will analyze operating conditions at insured facilities, develop PML/MFL worksheets, and evaluate catastrophe exposures.

Travel 50–70% to client sites and broker meetings as needed. The role requires 10+ years in risk management for power/utility sectors, an engineering degree, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in risk management or loss control in power/utility
• Undergraduate engineering or Loss Control degree or equivalent experience
• CFPS/PE certifications desired; PE a plus
• Knowledge of fire protection, ASME/IEEE standards, NFPA codes
• Willingness to travel 50–70%
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Perform Account Review related services for new submissions and renewals as requested by Property Underwriting
• Develop Probable Maximum Loss (PML) and Maximum Foreseeable Loss (MFL) worksheets
• Review Natural Catastrophe exposures (earthquake, flood, windstorm) using Risk Meter, FEMA, Google Earth
• Provide technical guidance on combustion turbine technology and loss exposures for electric, natural gas, and water utilities
• Conduct Underwriting Surveys/Risk Assessments at insured facilities and make recommendations
• Attend insured/broker meetings as requested
• Maintain accurate information in Underwriting SharePoint and NextGen databases
• Interface with loss control staff to stay current on operating conditions and maintenance practices
