Job summary

KAAST Machine Tools, Inc. in Aldan, PA is seeking a hands-on Machine Tool Service Technician to inspect, install, and repair CNC and conventional machine tools.

You will work in our warehouse/showroom and at customer sites, ensuring equipment is delivered, installed, and running at peak performance. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics, and excellent customer communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of industrial machine installation, maintenance, or repair experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, saws, grinders, press brakes, shears, or other fabrication equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities and ability to interact professionally with customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare new machines for customer shipment.
• Uncrate, assemble, power up, and perform complete inspections and operational testing.
• Complete written inspection and service reports.
• Install machinery and assist with machine startups.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs on customer equipment.
• Provide technical support to customers over the phone and during on-site service visits.
• Conduct machine demonstrations and operator training for customers.
• Document service work, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately.
