Job summary

KAAST Machine Tools, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Machine Tool Service Technician for a balanced shop and field role. You will prepare, install, troubleshoot, and service CNC and conventional machinery, ensuring peak performance.

Travel up to 25–50% to customer sites and trade shows; entry-level and experienced candidates considered; compensation reflects experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industrial machine installation, maintenance, or repair experience.
• Hands-on experience with machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, saws, grinders, etc.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 3-phase power.
• Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare new machines for customer shipment.
• Uncrate, assemble, power up, and perform inspections.
• Complete written inspection and service reports.
• Install machinery and assist with machine startups.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs.
• Provide technical support to customers over the phone and on-site.
• Conduct machine demonstrations and operator training.
• Document service work and maintain a clean workspace.
