Job summary

Moog is seeking a Machine Shop Value Stream Manager in Blacksburg, VA. You will lead the safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance of the machine shop, driving Lean initiatives and continuous improvement across a high-velocity production environment.

You will coach leaders, manage budgets and capital investments, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to meet customer commitments. This role requires strategic thinking and strong people leadership in a mission-critical

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in technical/engineering/business or equivalent.
• 7 years of progressive manufacturing/ops experience.
• 7 years of direct supervision/leadership.
• Knowledge of machine shop operations and processes.
• Experience leading Lean, continuous improvement and waste reduction.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety, quality, delivery and cost performance of the Machine Shop Value Stream.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Drive a culture of Lean and waste elimination across operations.
• Coach and develop leaders and employees to build a high-performing team.
• Manage machine shop resources, budgets, staffing, and capital investments.
• Oversee capacity planning and workflow to meet production schedules and customer commitments.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Advanced Manufacturing teams to improve processes.
• Align operational priorities with business objectives across functions.
