Job summary

Moog is seeking a Continuous Improvement Leader for an onsite role in Blacksburg, VA. Bring Lean Six Sigma expertise to improve manufacturing processes and drive cost reductions across the site.

You will lead cross-functional teams, develop improvement plans, and train staff in Lean events while collaborating with leadership to translate strategic goals into actionable projects. The role includes up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience using continuous improvement tools.
• Lean Six Sigma experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to utilize statistical evaluation techniques, process capability analysis, and performance metrics to drive informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and apply Lean Six Sigma principles to improve business and manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate and facilitate improvement activities.
• Convert strategic goals into actionable Lean Six Sigma plans.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities, execute plans, and achieve goals.
• Train staff and lead/support Lean events and improvement projects.
• Develop and standardize continuous improvement tools, processes, and metrics.
• Support teams in identifying and implementing area improvements.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma activities with cross-functional groups.
• Create and track annual improvement plans.
• Optimize site operations (5S, material flow, Kanbans, etc.) to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Improve business processes across the organization.
• Identify and solve problems to reduce costs.
• Develop daily improvement systems and tools.
• Train staff on Lean Six Sigma concepts.
• Stay updated on continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma methods.
• Travel to other facilities, customers, and suppliers (10% travel).
