Job summary

ITT Inc. in Santa Clarita, CA, is seeking a Fabrication Manager – Machine Shop to lead a 60+ CNC machine operation on a 200,000‑square‑foot floor.

You will drive performance, productivity, and employee engagement by evaluating processes and implementing improvements. Responsibilities include planning production schedules, aligning resources, monitoring KPI targets for quality, on‑time delivery, and safety, and applying Lean and Six Sigma to continuous flow and line balancing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in operations or engineering.
• 7+ years of manufacturing operations experience with 2+ years supervisory responsibility.
• Knowledge of CNC machining and CNC programming.
• Ability to coach and motivate employees.
• Experience designing continuous flow lines and line balancing using Lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead fabrication operations to meet production and budgetary goals.
• Oversee production schedules and maintain quality standards.
• Determine equipment availability and schedule fabrication orders.
• Build production schedules and estimate delivery times.
• Assess machine resources to reduce downtime.
• Lead KPI-driven performance (quality, on-time delivery, cost, safety).
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives applying LEAN and Six Sigma.
