Job summary

The operator will train new staff and collaborate across departments to maintain workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining/manufacturing is a plus.
• Previous saw-operator experience preferred.
• Familiarity with various saw types and cutting techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate different types of saws (band, circular, etc.) to cut materials per specifications.
• Set up saws for production runs; adjust speed, feed, blade angles as needed.
• Monitor cutting process to ensure quality; measure and inspect cut materials.
• Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment: cleaning, lubricating, blades.
• Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate production records of quantities and materials used.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Collaborate with team members and departments for efficient production flow.
• Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures.

• Set up saws for production runs, including adjusting speed, feed rates, and blade angles as necessary.
• Quality Control: - Monitor the cutting process to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Measure and inspect cut materials for accuracy and make adjustments as needed.
• Maintenance and Safety: - Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing blades.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Documentation: - Maintain accurate records of production quantities, materials used, and any issues encountered during operations.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Collaboration: - Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure efficient production flow.
• Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures.

Qualifications
