Job summary

The Sheridan Group in Minnesota is seeking a hands-on bindery trainee to learn and operate high-speed bindery equipment in a manufacturing environment. You will be trained to set up cutters, folders, stitchers, and perfect binders, ensuring quality output.

On the 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 6:30AM–3PM with potential overtime, you will join a collaborative team focused on meeting daily production goals and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Able to read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.).

Job description

This is a 1st shift position - working Monday - Friday, 6:30AM - 3PM with potential for overtime hours.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you. We’re looking for people who:

• Are at least 18 years of age.
• Have a High School Diploma, or GED.
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.)
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team.

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

Work is performed in a factory environment with regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and the physical hazards of machinery, plus some exposure to fumes, oils, lubricants, and chemicals.

Safety toe shoes and hearing protection required.

On your feet for most of the shift

Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull 50lbs.
