Machine Operator - Press Brake

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator - Press to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating punch presses, overhead presses, and rotary presses while ensuring products meet quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining safety and quality requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Machine Setup & Operation
- Set up, adjust, and operate punch presses, overhead presses, and rotary presses.
- Review work orders, travelers, inspection reports, dimensional requirements, packaging requirements, and handling instructions prior to production.
- Verify that all materials match work order specifications and meet shelf‑life requirements before production begins.
- Pull and verify inventory materials using designated inventory control procedures.
- Ensure production equipment is properly configured to meet quality and operational standards.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain production efficiency.
Quality Control
- Verify material part numbers and specifications against production paperwork.
- Inspect dies and tooling to ensure they match job requirements and are free from damage.
- Perform in‑process inspections according to work instructions and quality standards.
- Ensure products meet dimensional, quality, and customer specifications throughout the production process.
- Report any quality concerns, equipment issues, or process deviations to management immediately.
- Verify production standards and time requirements on new jobs and communicate any concerns to supervision.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and manufacturing guidelines.
- Maintain a safe work environment while operating machinery and handling materials.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or incidents.
Maintenance & Housekeeping
- Maintain organized workstations and equipment using 5S workplace organization practices.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance as required by machine manuals and maintenance logs.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist with other production‑related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or press operation experience preferred.
- Experience working with production work orders, inspection reports, and quality standards is highly desirable.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
Required Skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internal production systems.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, production documents, and inspection reports.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Fluent English required (read, write, and speak).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and moving machinery.

Pay Details: $19.00 to $22.00 per hour
