Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Press Brake Operator for a contract role in North Charleston, SC. The position requires operating CNC Press Brake equipment, reading 2D prints, and maintaining quality through measurement checks.

You will work 2nd shift, 4pm-2:30am, Monday to Thursday, in a non-climate controlled, onsite fabrication shop. Responsibilities include programming, setup, and operation, communicating with production leads, inspecting parts, performing routine maintenance, and upholding safety

Qualifications

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in programming and setup.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D prints, 3D models, and work instructions.
• Knowledge of press brake tooling.
• Proficiency in using basic measurement instruments to verify components.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to read a tape measure to the 16th of an inch.

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for ensuring daily production output by operating CNC Press Brake machinery. This role involves using computers, CAD programs, basic hand tools, and measurement instruments to achieve quality production results.

Work Environment

Work in a custom fabrication shop environment that is non-climate controlled. The position is for the 2nd Shift, operating from 4pm-2:30am Monday to Thursday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of North Charleston, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
