Job summary

Novolex is seeking a CNC Machinist - Lathe for our Cedar Rapids, IA facility. You will set up and operate CNC lathes, perform milling and drilling as required, and verify part accuracy with precision tools. The role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm in a climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-year A.A.S. Degree – CNC Machining Technology or 3-5 years of CNC Machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• WorkKeys Certification: National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver Certificate Level or higher), preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates CNC Lathes to perform machining operations per specifications.
• Assembles cutting tools, secures work piece, and provides machine with directions according to work piece specifications.
• Observes machine operations and verifies accuracy of machine work pieces using precision tools.
