Job summary

Novolex in Cedar Rapids is hiring a Tool & Die Machinist to manufacture parts and fixtures from raw material using a variety of equipment including manual lathes, manual mills, drill presses, and CNC equipment. The role requires welding stainless and carbon steel, reading engineering blueprints, and designing fixtures from scratch.

Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm, climate controlled, with pay rate of $30.88 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of machining experience.
• 1-3 years of welding experience.
• Experience reading engineering blueprints/drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual lathes, manual mills and other equipment to manufacture parts from raw materials.
• Ability to weld materials primarily stainless and carbon steel.
• Ability to design and manufacture fixtures from scratch.
• Ability to rework parts as necessary.
• Ability to read engineering blueprints.
