Compensation for roles at Glanbia varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The hourly rate for Illinois-based employees for this role is $24.75/hour ($24/hour + $0.75 shift differential).

Join the Glanbia Performance Nutrition team as a Machine Operator Lead (Machine Operator II). We are holding next-day interviews and have multiple shift opportunities available!

As a Machine Operator II, you will be responsible for the overall operations and leadership of manufacturing equipment, including maintaining and adjusting machines during operations and downtime, and cleaning activities.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Working with known allergens, such as milk, soy, wheat, egg, peanut, and tree nuts
• Performing setups on multiple manufacturing machines
• Understanding powder differences and performing allergen and flavor cleans
• Filling out reports accurately (parts, allergen clean, flavor change sheets, safety audits, etc.)
• Loading, unloading, moving, counting, stacking, and staging products using forklifts or other MHE
• Performing Root Cause Analysis on machines
• Training new hires to share company values
• Supporting and adhering to safety programs and policies
• Reporting injuries immediately
• Practicing safe work habits and following safety rules
• Following work procedures (Safety, Quality, GMP, MAV, HACCP)
• Understanding lockout/tagout procedures
• Performing safety inspections and machine safety awareness
• Communicating safety and quality issues to leadership
• Wearing PPE: lab coat, safety shoes, glasses, bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, nitrile gloves
• Troubleshooting machine issues post-training
• Collaborating with maintenance for improvements
• Changing machine parts for different products
• Performing other duties as assigned

Physical and skill requirements:

• Lift up to 55 lbs. occasionally from ground to waist
• Lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally from waist to shoulder
• Carry up to 55 lbs. up to 5 ft.
• Pull a 55 lb. bag from 60 inches height occasionally
• Perform setups on manufacturing machines
• Fluent in English reading, writing, and communication
• Knowledge of GMPs/HACCP
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a food or consumer product environment
• Preferred 6 months of PIT operation experience
