Responsibilities

  • Support the C.A.R.E. values of the organization
  • Follow plant safety and environmental policies; keep work areas clean and organized
  • Measure materials for conformance to blueprint specifications using various measuring devices
  • Review products and materials during manufacturing to ensure they meet company requirements
  • Operate woodworking equipment, including sliding panel saws, band saws, mortise machines, planers, sanders, pipe clamps, biscuit jointers, etc.
  • Meet daily production goals and understand cycle time requirements
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, filling holes, and sanding
  • Inspect products for flaws or imperfections
  • Make workstation adjustments, including tool and fixture changes for product changeover
  • Maintain charts, logbooks, and databases as required
  • Report issues to the supervisor
  • Meet deadlines for individual production tasks
  • Escalate concerns regarding materials, technical, or quality issues
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of production procedures
  • Ability to multitask

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills

Physical and Safety Requirements

  • Must be able to lift/move over 50 lbs.
  • Stand, walk, stoop, and perform motions for extended periods
  • Wear PPE such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes at all times
