Job description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE(S) OF POSITION

Perform duties to operate multiple types of machines, including gag straightening, demagnetizing, furnaces, shot blasting, saws, overhead cranes, forklift, and CombiLift, as well as conducting final inspections.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

3. Promote safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous quality improvement in accordance with company policies.
4. Comply with all policies and procedures outlined in the Company Handbook.
5. Work from job schedules to determine required materials, locate them, and arrange for movement by crane to the work area.
6. Follow all general and machine-specific work instructions, including start-up, set-up (minimal to minor), preventive maintenance, operation, shutdown, and lockout/tag-out procedures.
7. Load, unload, locate, and move materials using Forklift, CombiLift, or crane. Record material locations in PLEX.
8. Utilize tools such as lift trucks, banding equipment, pneumatic hand hoists, grinders, wrenches, tape measures, digital calipers, and other hand tools.
9. Maintain production records and perform SPC and quality check procedures as prescribed.
10. Perform calibration checks for tape measures, squares, refractometers, gauss meters, calipers, and other gauges, ensuring all are within tolerance and calibration schedules.
11. Notify supervisors of equipment or material issues.
12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or apparent.
