Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and run heavy machinery for cutting, punching and forming operations. The role requires adherence to safety and quality standards, and ability to read blueprints and operate CNC-like controls.

The shift runs 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with overtime as needed. Pay rate is $17.58–$20.32 per hour, with full-time benefits starting day 1. This position supports production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• A combination of education and experience may be qualifying.
• Must be able to become certified to operate a forklift vehicle and overhead crane.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and participate in a culture of safety.
• Follow quality and customer standards.
• Set-up and operate machinery to cut, punch, form, paint, and/or package parts.
• Operate computerized equipment and machine controls.
• Use quality measurement tools (tape, calipers, micrometers).
• Operate material handling equipment (cranes, forklifts).
• Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication on equipment.
• Mark parts with numbers and IDs for traceability.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to select materials.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in the work area.
• May be assigned other duties by Team Leader.
