Cornerstone Building Brands in Florence, AL seeks a Machine Operator to set up and operate heavy machinery, performing cutting, punching and forming to produce quality parts while adhering to safety and customer standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, using measurement tools, and working 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with overtime as needed. This full-time position offers day-one benefits and growth opportunities in a team-focused manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to become forklift and overhead crane certified.
• Experience with handheld metalworking tools is a plus.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
• Good computer and communication skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate heavy machinery to perform cutting, punching, forming, and related operations.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a culture of safety and quality.
• Read blueprints and use measurement devices to select materials and parts.
• Operate and maintain measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
• Interpret technical data to ensure correct parts are produced.
• Maintain continuous improvement in the work area.
• May be assigned other tasks by the Team Leader.
