Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands seeks a Machine Operator I in Woodland, CA to set up and operate heavy machinery for cutting, punching, forming, and processing tasks. You will read blueprints, use gauges, and ensure quality with safety as a priority.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of manufacturing experience; forklift/crane trainability is a plus. Overtime and varied shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• A minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment.
• A minimum of one year operating manufacturing machinery and/or equipment.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment and nail guns.
• Able to use measuring gauges and read a tape measure.
• Forklift experience a plus / Must be trainable on forklift.
• Crane experience a plus / Must be trainable on crane.
• Flexible with overtime and weekend work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery and equipment to cut, punch, form, or paint parts.
• Operate computerized equipment and material handling equipment.
• Run CNC-controlled machines (presses, lasers, rolling mills) with focus on safety and quality.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication.
• Mark part numbers and attach identification tags.
• Interpret blueprints and technical data to select materials.
• Support continuous improvement and productivity initiatives.
• Provide cost-saving suggestions and eliminate waste.
• Read schedules and work to posted timelines.
• Be a team player and maintain safety first.
• Overtime may be assigned as needed.
