Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Machine Operator I to set up and operate heavy machinery, read blueprints, and ensure quality parts in a Monday–Friday shift. Responsibilities include operating CNC-controlled machines, performing preventive maintenance, and following safety procedures to maintain production quality.

The role requires basic computer skills, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and a willingness to work overtime or weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/operating environment.
• Must be detail- and quality-oriented.
• Good communication skills and dependability.
• Basic computer skills (email, internet, Excel, Word).
• Ability to read a tape measure and use measuring tools.
• Experience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment, and nail guns.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly and safely.
• Forklift experience a plus; trainable.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate heavy machinery and CNC-controlled equipment.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a safe manufacturing environment.
• Operate equipment to cut, punch, form, or paint quality parts.
• Perform routine maintenance and lubrication.
• Read blueprints/specifications to select materials.
• Inspect parts and ensure quality per procedures.
• Maintain productivity and propose improvements to reduce waste.
