Job summary

Kettle Cuisine is seeking a Machine Operator Filling to join our Everett, WA facility. You will handle machine operations, troubleshooting, sanitation, and quality tracking in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma or GED, plus 1–3 months of related experience. Availability for overtime and weekend shifts is required. You will train peers and work with teams to meet production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry
  • Must be available to work overtime and weekends

Responsibilities

  • Operate machines, troubleshoot and clean up; manage quality and waste control.
  • Track weights and waste; ensure proper material handling and line readiness.
  • Train peers and temporary workers on processes and machine operation.
  • Support other departments as needed to meet production goals.
  • Meet filling metrics through proper planning and scheduling.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Performs operations of machines, including troubleshooting, cleanup, setup, quality control, and waste control. Flows towork
  • Performs weight and wastetracking
  • Effectively delivers residual to manualline
  • Organizes andmaintainsall tools andscales
  • Sanitation of equipment isrequired
  • Follows department escalation to ensure all major incidents are dealt withpromptly
  • Trains peers and temporary workers on processes and machine operation within the department
  • Make sure down time is gettingentered intothe HMI with clear explanations of whathappened
  • Performs data sheet checks and ensures completion of datasheet
  • Organizes andmaintainsall tools andscales
  • Perform tasks to support other departments whendirected
  • Works with team towards meeting Filling metrics to drive goals and sustainability of the teams, this to be done through resource alignment, planning ahead for changeovers, looking ahead to optimize the schedule, empowering the teams to drive communication and tight tracking of loss through each processorder
  • Other duties as assigned by Team leader or Business Unit Leader
Qualifications and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previouswork experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry

Must be available to work overtime andweekends

Technical Experience:

Ability to learn system logic andoperateHMI/control panels and fine tune equipment for minor and majoradjustments

Pay Range for Machine Operator Filling

The Machine Operator Filling base pay range $20.77 - $20.77/hourly. The listed salary range represents Kettle Cuisine’s good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries for the Everett, WA location only. Ranges will be reviewed on a regular basis. An employee’s rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. The Machine Operator Filling position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package. Kettle Cuisine and all its legal entities comply with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
