Olympic Steel in Chambersburg, PA is seeking a Machine Operator - Deslagger for 1st shift. This entry-level production role supports grinding and finishing parts, performs housekeeping in the warehouse, and ensures safety and quality in daily operations.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, can read customer part prints, complete required training, and are mechanically inclined with attention to detail and safe crane operation knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Ability to read customer part prints or the successful completion of print reading class.
• Successful completion of the appropriate work center training program(s).
• Proper use and care of precision instruments.
• Precisely follow detailed and extensive instructions.
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented and safety and quality conscious.
• General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices

Job Description

TheDeslag/Grinderis responsible for satisfying customer requirements of quality, quantity and delivery, in a safe manner, while maximizing productivity. They perform various entry-level production support duties as assigned by supervisor, as well as execute general housekeeping for warehouse.
