Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a division of CRH, seeks a plant operator to run and monitor production equipment in a fast-paced setting. You will read specifications, adjust machinery, and ensure product quality meets standards while following safety policies.

This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a flexible schedule. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial and the company provides strong benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to work independently and stay motivated.
• Strong math skills for measuring and adjusting materials.
• Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as shown by scale or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or malfunctions.
• Review product for consistency and quality to meet requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and complete tasks on time.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area and adhere to safety policies.
• Other duties as needed.
