Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is seeking a machinery operator to run designated equipment safely in our Tennessee facility. You will monitor machine performance, adjust settings, and help ensure the highest quality output while following all safety procedures.

Responsibilities include reading specifications, setting guides to required lengths, inspecting products for defects, and performing routine maintenance. A supportive team environment and opportunities for growth are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or related experience.
• Basic understanding of electronics and programmable controllers.
• Knowledge with hydraulics, electricity and tools.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions and manuals.
• Basic math skills and ability to learn measurement units and conversions.
• Computer literacy and strong mechanical ability.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area and practice good housekeeping.
